Everyone craves colour in spring
When spring comes, and the snow melts, nothing warms our hearts as much as seeing the first few blooms of spring. Did you ever notice the long swath of daffodils growing in the median of the Don Valley Parkway? Those were installed by our wholesale bulb supplier. Even the DVP can lift your spirits! Yes, squirrels do love tulips. That’s why you should wait until later in the fall when they start to hibernate, and take the time to plant them under chicken wire, and sprinkle blood meal on top. It’s all worth it to see the bulbs burst into colour in April and May. Bulbs are a look ahead activity. They must be planted in the fall in order to bloom in the spring.
